Remembering Lucille
Lucille Heilman-Ellis Comignani, 74, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away on August 26, 2021. Lucille was born on July 19, 1947 to Jacob and Lucille Heilman in Washington, D.C.
Lucille lived her life for improving the lives of others and bringing joy. She started her career as a special education elementary school teacher. Afterwards, she devoted two decades to entertaining others as a clown. During that time, she also worked to help settle refugees in the metropolitan area. She also began transitioning into her career in social services, wherein she worked tirelessly for two decades to protect the vulnerable, both young and old. Even after retirement, she kept to the theme by providing wine tastings. And she always loved to laugh and spend time with family and friends.
Lucille joins her parents, Jacob, Lucille, chosen mother Sylvia Heilman, and brother Bruce Heilman. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Alfredo Comignani; Sons Christopher Ellis (wife, Kimberly), Brian Ellis, and their father Richard Ellis; and Brother Michael Heilman (Wife, Betsy).
